Merleau-Ponty seeks to show the disposition of Sartre’s reflection. He usesthe word «landscape». Perhaps, hardly a word like this avoids signaling thedifference between Sartre and the philosophers of existence. So, Merleau-Ponty integrates Sartre to a more strong current of thinking, whose nameis ‘existence’ or ‘existentialism’, near to Søren Kierkegaard and MartinHeidegger. The question about existence is possible today and that philosophersare, with Sartre, the bigger reference to approximate it. Finally,Merleau-Ponty speaks about incarnation on the word or, more formally, tobe on the world.
