Global art: Between a Crisis of Meaning and a Theoretical Turn
Main Article Content
A sense crisis seems to have been affecting relevant artistic institutions as theBiennals (beginning with those more emblematic, the Venice Biennal and theSao Paulo one), after having impacted the very works of art along the XXthcentury, and particularly during the 1960s. Exploring these transformations, this article detects a kind of “theorical turn” in the art world as a response tothe crisis and seeks to characterize it through a comparation with some trendsof the Modern political and cultural tradition of the XIXth century.
