Language and Rhetoric in the Hermeneutics of Hans-Georg Gadamer

The present work has as aim to describe to the relation between rhetoric andhermeneutic in the work of Hans-Georg Gadamer. A first step consists ofreally recognizing the elements of the rhetoric in the context and Method.From it will be tried there to show what Gadamer understands by the hermeneuticrecovery of the old rhetoric on the base of three topics. First it is inshowing that the rhetoric like the hermeneutic reaches status ontological.Secondly, that the rhetoric is fundamental part in the formation of the conceptsby means of the element of the analogy. And thirdly, the intimaterelation that maintains the hermeneutic with the rhetoric at a level of rationalargumentation on the base of the probability notion (eikós).
