We sustain a pluralistic view of science, which roughly speaking says that ageneral field of empirical science can be approached by several (and perhapsnon equivalent) ‘perspectives’, so generating different informal (and later, axiomatic) theories. Each one of them treats different aspects of the domain. After exposing this view in a general way, we apply it to the quantum realm, and show that if we aim at to consider that we should consider quanta asindistinguishable ‘right at the start’ (Heinz Post’s view), then we ought touse a distinct logico-mathematical basis, namely, quasi-set theory, which isalso sketched in the paper.
