This paper makes a general comparative study between the two more importantproposals into the semantic approach of theories, the Structuralist viewand van Fraassen´s one. I present the principal points of agreement anddisagreement between the two views, in overhead terms. The points of comparisonare: identity elements of a theory, characterization of theoretic anddata models, the empirical claim form and the epistemic neutrality. In eachone of the points, I defend a particular thesis and present the different argumentsthat hold this, and the relationship between them, too.
