This article outlines a set of issues concerning the relationship between mythos and the philosophy of origins, a set of issues that is also considered to be the source of culture and philosophy itself. The famous thesis that philosophy originated in religion is examined from this perspective. This essay clarifies the semantic domain that brings together mythical experience and philosophy, which are considered in terms of their mutual relationships and their different historical configurations.
