The interview that forms the basis of this translation took place in September 1995, in Châtenay-Malabry, in Paul Ricoeur's office, with François Azouvi and Marc de Launay, researchers at the CNRS and editors-in-chief of the magazine de Métaphysique et de Morale, which is directed by Paul Ricoeur. A lesson in philosophy, this interview is also a long and fascinating reflection on a number of questions of aesthetics that are rarely or never addressed in Paul Ricoeur's books.
