This essay examines the concepts of causality and knowledge in two works of David Hume: Treatise of Human Nature and Enquiry Concerning Human Understanding. The text proposes that the works examine these concepts from distinct perspectives and that the works examine these concepts from distinct perspectives and that the differences in perspective are most likely due to the tacit influence of rationalism on Hume's thinking. The essay will compare the concepts of causality and knowledge in both of Hume's work with the purpose of demonstrating the thesis stated above.
